My life is being eaten up by Buffy the Vampire Slayer and homework.
I’ve been pretty stressed out, but I also have found Buffy oddly comforting. I can draw quite a few (minus the mythical stuff) parallels with my own life, and it makes a lot of situations easier to handle. With Buffy, Xander, Willow, and Giles going through tough stuff similar to my own tough stuff, things just seem more relatable and easy.
It’s a lot easier to deal with a break-up, teacher bullcrap, tough deadlines, and freakishly tough tests when a vampire slayer your age is going through the same things and worse (fictional or not). And I can’t wait to finish the series (I’m on season 3). I’m very excited to see what happens and how her life shifts and changes.
Joss Whedon really did something great when he created Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Well I’m off to watch more and wait for dinner…
